Google is now all set to take part on various e-commerce companies such as Amazon and eBay. The company will soon launch the ‘buy’ buttons on its search pages in just a few weeks. It is taking all attempts to become an online marketplace that rivals against some of the leading online retail destinations.
According to reports by The Wall Street Journal, people who are familiar with the launch said that Google will display the buy button when someone searches for a product on their mobile devices. This facility cannot be availed on desktop computers. As soon as the button is clicked, the users will be readdressed to an added Google product page to complete their purchase. The customers will also get the option to choose any preferred size and color. The Google will also enable its customers to store their credit card information to make their transactions faster so that the next time they get an item, they don’t perform the same activity again and again.
At present, Google is talking with some of the small retailers and will soon start a program with a small percentage of traffic while searching. All the none – sponsored results that appear due to the basic search algorithm of the company will not appear in the search results. The reason why the retailers are getting worried with the move taken by the Google is that it is a main and a very important source of traffic and it could make the Company a main market place where all purchases can be done. Currently, the retailers can just send Google data on various products.
